30 year vow renewal
My parents celebrated 30 years of marriage back in October 2024. Their wedding was extremely small, nothing at all like they had hoped for, to be honest. So they knew when they chose to renew their vows, that it was going to be 100% about them. A location they wanted, flowers, craft beer, my husband to officiate, and myself to photograph/plan the whole day.
I'm going to be very honest with you... planning a vow renewal in Isle of Skye was NOT easy lol I should have spent more than the morning of the vow renewal there-- looking for locations, exploring, doing my research. We had a hard time finding someone local to make a bouquet without getting imported flowers. My mom ended up finding a super cute florist in Edinburgh and that worked out perfectly!
Our goal was to have the vow renewal at The Storr, in Isle of Skye. We began that hike, leaving all of things in the car to see if it was as pretty as instagram made it look. And boy howdy, it was amazingly beautiful! BUT! We decided we didn't want to do that hike again, and bring up 20lbs of things with us HAHA. It was not an easy hike, and we all hike on a pretty normal basis.
Despite rain, wind, complications of vendors, it was an absolutely perfect day.
Mom, I hope you look back on these photos and still cherish them 30 years from now. Thank you for letting David and I be there, for letting us be such a big part of your day. We love you <3
